EFA Office through its range of services “Stephane MBATEU Investment” is contributing to build up a consortium in the course of responding to a call for projects of the French Development Agency (AFD) intitled “SOCIAL AND INCLUSE BUSINESS AS A VECTOR OF SOLUTIONS FOR WASTE PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT”, Published on January 26, 2022: https://www.afd.fr/en/financing-ngo-projects
French Development Agency (AFD) notices that NGOs have specialized knowledge, an ability for innovation, advocacy skills, connections with communities and their target groups and want to support them through FISONG, its Sectoral Innovation Facility for NGOs.
Over specific projects linking French or international CSOs with south organisations, FISONG aims to finance and add value to NGOs and mobilize synergies between these organisations and the AFD’s work and knowledge.
Via the call for proposals “FISONG 2022”, AFD intends to identify and finance two “innovative programmes aimed at using social and inclusive business as a vector of solutions for waste prevention and management”. The allocated budget of €2.5 million is distributed as below:
- €2.3 million to fund field projects (contributing around €800,000 to €1m per project for three years, not exceeding 90% of the total cost);
- €200 000 to fund the cross-sectional capitalisation mechanism, delivered by an external expert recruited during another call for tenders.
The deadline of reception of the complete proposals is on Monday 9 May 2022 at midday, Paris time, at the address: fisong@afd.fr, mail subject: “FISONG 2022_ESI et déchets_[name of your NGO].
Because on one hand this call for projects encourages proposals carry by an consortium of NGOs of North and South, social/inclusive business, research institutes, local associations representing vulnerable populations, local authorities, especially municipalities, financial institutions and design offices, and on another hand, as “innovation and sustainable development”, “public-private partnership” and “North-South Partnership” are three of its cross-border sectors, EFA Office through its range of services “Stephane MBATEU Investment” are participating to build up a Group for a strong proposal to this important call of projects of French Development Agency.
